FG Clarifies Ban On Post-UTME, Admission Procedure

Out Of 180 Million Nigerians 110 Are Poor – Osinbajo

Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo on Saturday said about 110 million Nigerians were living in poverty. He said two-tenth of that figure were in extreme poverty.   Boko Haram gunmen killed seven people in a raid on a town in northeast Nigerian Borno state near the border with Cameroon on Saturday, residents told AFP on Saturday. Gunmen on motorcycles stormed the town of Rann in Kalabalge district overnight Friday to Saturday and opened fire on homes, fleeing residents said. | “They opened fire on homes as we slept and killed seven people before carting away our food supplies and drugs from the only clinic in the town,” Rann resident Abba Abiso said. Baring any change in plan, President Muhammadu Buhari, will meet directly with governors, elders and other stakeholders from the Niger Delta region as part of efforts to end ongoing nefarious activities of the Niger Delta Avengers (NDA) and other militant groups in the region. The Nigerian Prison Service has confirmed that two inmates escaped from Kuje Medium Security Prison on Friday.
