Vice President Yemi Osinbajo alongside Lagos state governor, Akinwunmi Ambode, and some Ministers took an inspection tour of the Dangote Lekki Refinery and Petrochemical projects today June 25th. Osinbajo after the inspection, said the project is an incredible industrial undertaken, being the largest and the most ambitious in Africa. Baring any change in plan, President Muhammadu Buhari, will meet directly with governors, elders and other stakeholders from the Niger Delta region as part of efforts to end ongoing nefarious activities of the Niger Delta Avengers (NDA) and other militant groups in the region. The Nigerian Prison Service has confirmed that two inmates escaped from Kuje Medium Security Prison on Friday. In a statement issued on Saturday evening, Francis Enabore, spokesperson for the NPS said the two inmates who were awaiting trial for culpable homicide escaped from the prison facility around 7.30 pm on Friday in circumstances which are still being investigated. | Nigerian Prison Service however said the fleeing inmates have no relationship with the chief suspect in 2010 Independence Day bomb attack, Charles Okah as earlier speculated.
